E-1 Doch ihr müßt Glauben an Gott anwenden, um es zu bewirken. Seht? So habt ihr eure eigene Auferstehung in euch. Eure Auferstehung liegt in euch, in eurem Geist. Ich weiß, als Jesus am Kreuz starb: „Seine Seele ging in die Hölle hinunter und predigte zu den Seelen im Gefängnis, die nicht in den langmütigen Tagen Noahs Buße taten.” Sein Leib ging ins Grab. Doch bevor Er starb, übergab Er Seinen Geist in die Hände Gottes. In die Hand... ‚In Deine Hände übergebe Ich Meinen Geist.“ So, ihr seht, Sein Geist ging zu Gott; Seine Seele ging in die Hölle; Sein Leib ging ins Grab.
Nun, jener Geist, der in Ihm war, war der Geist Gottes. „Dieser Geist, vielfältig und auf vielerlei Weise salbte die Propheten, um den Menschen die Botschaft zu bringen; in den letzten Tagen durch Christus; und jetzt in diesen Tagen hier durch das Evangelium.”
E-2 Nun, wenn wir Christus in unserem Herzen empfangen, ist alles da, was wir benötigen. Da ist Ewiges Leben.
Nun, Christus konnte nicht zurückkommen, bevor drei Tage erfüllt waren. Weil Sein Geist hinter einer Wand war, wie eine Sperre, so, so dass Er jene Sperre nicht überqueren konnte, weil es das gesprochene Wort Gottes war, dass: „Er sollte drei Tage und drei Nächte im Grab liegen.” Nun, Er konnte nicht zurückkehren, bis diese drei Tage und Nächte vorüber waren. E-3 Nun, jeder von euch hat in derselben Weise Macht, weil ihr Söhne und Töchter Gottes seid. Und derselbe Geist, der heute Morgen in euch ist, der Heilige Geist, der heute Morgen in euch ist, dieser Heilige Geist wird euch auferwecken. So, ihr habt die Macht, euch selbst wieder aufzuerwecken.
Wenn ihr sterbt, wird eure Seele in die - die... unter den Altar Gottes gehen, nicht in... direkt in die Gegenwart Gottes. Nun, euer Geist wird zu Gott gehen, doch ihr könnt nicht zurückkommen. Denkt daran, in der Bibel heißt es, dass der Geist... ‚Die Seelen unter dem Altar rufen: ‚Herr, wie lange, wie lange?'“ Und sie könnten nicht zurückkehren, bis sich die Schriften erfüllen, und wie Christus, könnten nicht zurückkehren, bis sich die Schriften erfüllen. Dann, nachdem alles getan wurde, die ganzen Leiden vorbei sind und die Brüder dieselben Dinge erlitten haben, oder wir gelitten haben, wie sie litten und so weiter; dann, an jenem Tag, werdet ihr genau wissen, wo ihr begraben seid, euer Geist wird von Gott freigesetzt und zur Seele kommen.
E-4 Nun, die Seele ist jener Teil von euch, der weiß und versteht, eure Intelligenz. Erinnert ihr euch an die Vision, die ich hatte, oder die kleine Entrückung und an diesen Ort ging und jene Menschen sah? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] Nun, euer Geist wird zu jenem Leib zurückkehren und diese - diese Art Leib, die Seele, die ein Leib ist, der nicht essen muss und so weiter. „Wenn dieses irdische Zelthaus zerstört wird, haben wir bereits ein anderes, das auf uns wartet”, einen himmlischen Leib. Und mit diesem Geist und dieser Seele und himmlischen Leib werdet ihr diesen natürlichen Leib für das große Tausendjährige Reich wieder auferwecken. Seht? Ihr habt jetzt die Kraft in euch, das jetzt zu tun.
Aber diese Kraft, die ihr jetzt in euch habt, könnte eine neue Welt machen. Gott hat keine kleinen, schwachen Punkte; und großen starken Punkte, die kräftig sind. Die allerkleinste Berührung Gottes ist allmächtig, seht, die allerkleinste Berührung Gottes.
So, ihr wißt es. So, ich versuche euch jetzt in den Glauben zu bringen.
E-5 Ihr wißt, dass etwas mit euch als Christ geschah. Wißt ihr das? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] Ihr pflegtet, euch hier unten im Schmutz zu bewegen, mit dem ganzen Schmutz und Sünde und Trinken und Spielen und - und Dingen der Welt. Nun ja, sobald ihr glaubtet, dass Christus eure Sünden vergab, habt ihr euch über dieses Zeug erhoben. Nun bewegt ihr euch hier oben, seht, über allem. Warum? Weil ihr glaubt, dass ihr ein Christ seid. Als ihr dann Christus annahmt und der Heilige Geist zu euch kam, habt ihr dann Glauben an den Heiligen Geist, um euch die Kraft zu geben, euch über diese Art Leben der Sünde zu bewegen. In Ordnung, nun, die einzige Sache, die ihr tun müßt, um euch höher in Heilung hinein zubewegen, habt einfach mehr Glauben, einfach - stoßt euch einfach hinauf. Seht? Und da habt ihr es.
Wenn ihr jetzt krank seid und ihr kein Christ seid, werde gerade jetzt ein Christ, damit diese Heilungskraft in euch hineinkommt, dadurch, dass ihr ein Christ werdet. Und das wird euch den Glauben geben, euch über Sünde zu bewegen. Es wird euch Glauben geben. Und alles, was ihr auf dieser Reise benötigt, ist direkt jetzt in euch. Und das einzige, was ihr tun müßt, ist Glauben an Gott zu haben, der jene guten Dinge durch den Heiligen Geist aus euch hinausdrängt, die in euch sind. Versteht ihr das jetzt sicher? Habt ihr es erfaßt? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
E-6 Ich glaube, Billy sagte mir gestern Abend, rief mich an und sagte: „Komm' heute Morgen her, besonders für eine Person, komm', die dachte, dass wir diese Woche Versammlungen von jenen Sieben Siegeln haben.” Und sie brachten ein krankes Kind, glaube ich. Und wenn du jetzt hier bist, mein Herr, denke daran, du kannst nicht... Dein - dein Glaube muss für dieses Kind stehen, wenn es - wenn es ein kleiner Säugling ist.
Doch laßt mich jetzt eine andere Schriftstelle nehmen, wenn es ist Ordnung ist, nur einen Augenblick. [Bruder Neville sagt: „Nur zu, Bruder. Amen.” - Verf.] Erinnert euch jetzt, im Evangelium lesen wir drüben im 16. Kapitel der Apostelgeschichte, glaube ich, wo Paulus und Silas eines Nachts im Gefängnis waren. Und sie waren geschlagen worden, weil sie einen teuflischen Geist aus einem wahrsagenden Mädchen austrieben. Und es war... Und sie, ihr Meister war ärgerlich darüber geworden. Und schlug sie, warf sie ins inwendige Gefängnis. Und als sie das dann taten, während Paulus und Silas beteten und Gott schickte ein Erdbeben und erschütterte das Gefängnis.
E-7 Der philippische Kerkermeister als eine Zenturio, um seine - seine Gefangenen freizulassen, müßte mit seinem eigenen Leben für die Gefangenen bezahlen. Er zog sein Schwert und wollte Selbstmord begehen, als Paulus vorbaute und sagte: „Tu dir kein Leid an. Aber was auch immer es war, sie wußten, dass sie heilige Männer waren. Sie wußten, es war etwas anders mit jenen Männern. Denn sofort fragte er: „Was muss ich tun, um errettet zu werden? Was muss ich tun, um errettet zu werden?”
E-8 Nun, Paulus sagte: „Glaube an den Herrn Jesus Christus und du und dein Haus wirst errettet werden.” Na gut, nun, wenn Glauben an den Herrn Jesus Christus... Das heißt nicht, dass seine Errettung sein Haus erretten würde. Doch wenn er genug Glauben an Gott für seine eigene Errettung hat, kann er denselben Glauben für sein Haus haben. Und sein Haus muss hereinkommen, seht, dasselbe.
Dasselbe, was Hiob tat, wie ich neulich abends unten in einer Versammlung in Georgia sagte. Ich sagte: „Hiob,” er sagte: „nun, ich weiß nicht, ob meine Kinder gesündigt haben, aber, was ist, wenn sie gesündigt haben?” Und Hiob musste eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, das war, ein Brandopfer darzubringen. Er sagte, er würde das Brandopfer darbringen, falls seine Kinder gesündigt hatten, wären ihnen dann ihre Sünden vergeben. Und es war gut, dass jener Vater es tat.
Es ist ein gut denkender Vater. Wir brauchen heute mehr von dieser Art Väter. Und Hiob opferte das Brandopfer. Das war, bevor seine Tragödie begann. Aber als alle seine Kinder getötet waren und alle seine Schafe zerstört und alles, was er hatte, genommen, saß er auf dem Aschehaufen hinter seinem Haus, schabte sich mit einer Tonscherbe.
E-9 Habt ihr bemerkt, nach den Tagen seiner Tragödie, als Gott begann, ihn wiederzuerstatten? Wo er zehntausend Stück Vieh hatte und so weiter, erstattete Er doppelt. Und verdoppelte seine Schafe und verdoppelte alles. Aber habt ihr bemerkt? Und Gott gab Hiob auch seine sieben Kinder. Habt ihr je nachgedacht, wo sie sich befanden? Jenes Brandopfer trat für sie ein. Sie waren errettet, in der Herrlichkeit, warteten auf ihn. Er ist heute bei ihnen. „Du und dein Haus wirst errettet werden.” Seht?
Nun, Hiob musste eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, das Brandopfer darbringen. Ihr müßt eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, dass ist, habt Glauben an Gott. Denn durch Glauben seid ihr errettet, durch Glauben seid ihr geheilt, durch Glauben bekommt ihr alles, was ihr habt. Seht? Es ist durch Glauben, dass ihr es glaubt. Nun: „Glaube an den Herrn Jesus Christus und du und dein Haus wirst errettet.”
E-10 Nun, mein Herr, wenn du das Baby hier hast, damit dafür gebetet wird, glaube selber. Ich bin hier, um meinen Glauben mit deinem zu verbinden und wir werden gemeinsam glauben, dass Gott das Baby heilen wird. Seht ihr, wir haben die Kraft in uns, das zu tun. Ihr habt die Kraft in euch, es zu tun. Jeder Christ hat die Kraft, es zu tun. Doch jetzt, wenn wir einfach...
Diese Kraft wird durch ein Gesetz kontrolliert. Wie ich oft gesagt habe, ist es wie Schwerkraft Wasser kontrolliert, denn es ist ein Gesetz. Schwerkraft kontrolliert Wasser. Die Sonne wird kontrolliert durch die - durch die... oder die Erde, die Erdumdrehung. Ihr könnt die Sonne nicht einfach eine Sache tun lassen und dann sagen: „Ich glaube, ich möchte ein bißchen länger schlafen. Warte eine Stunde.” Sie würde es nicht tun, sehen, denn es gibt ein Gesetz. Wenn ihr gemäß jenem Gesetz funktionieren werdet, nun ja, dann wird alles in Ordnung sein. Wenn ihr rechtzeitig zu Bett geht, könnt ihr rechtzeitig aufwachen.
E-11 Und wenn ihr... Wie wir den See Superior haben, den See Ontario, See Huron und all solche großen Seen da oben. Wir haben zehntausend mal zehntausend Quadratmeter Boden draußen in Nevada und Kalifornien und Arizona und Neu Mexiko, der sich nach jenem Wasser verzehrt, Land, das alles wachsen lassen würde. Ihr könntet die ganze Welt da draußen versorgen, wenn ihr nur dieses Wasser da unten hättet, was wir hier oben haben. Und es würde nichts ausmachen, weil es Quellenversorgung ist. Sobald es ausgeht, kommt es einfach wieder auf den Wasserspiegel herauf, denn Schwerkraft hält es da. Na gut, nun, wenn ihr gemäß dem Gesetz der Schwerkraft arbeiten könnt, könnt ihr all diese großen Seen nehmen und das ganze Land da draußen bewässern und die ganze Welt versorgen, niemand wäre hungrig. Doch ihr könnt nicht hier sitzen und sagen: „Jawohl. Ich erkenne es. Sicher.” Ihr müßt gehen und es tun.
E-12 Na gut, das ist dasselbe mit dem Gesetz Gottes. Das Gesetz Gottes ist Glauben. Und wir haben heute Morgen Glauben hier, jede Krankheit zu heilen, alles zu tun. Doch es wird durch ein Gesetz kontrolliert und das Gesetz ist Glauben. Gottes Gesetz ist Glauben. Jesus sagte: „Was immer ihr auch möchtet, wenn ihr betet, wenn ihr glaubt, bekommt ihr es, könnt ihr es haben.” Da habt ihr es. So, es ist der Glaube, der es kontrolliert.
Und Glaube ist uns gegeben, gerade wie wir ihn benötigen. Nun, wir müssen... Gott gibt einigen von uns etwas Glauben, einigen einen anderen Glauben. Es ist nicht irgendeine große übernatürliche Kraft, die ihr habt. Denn, wenn ihr ein Christ werdet, habt ihr - ihr bereits die Kraft, doch es mangelt euch an Glauben, diese Kraft umzusetzen.
E-13 So nun, heute Morgen, wenn ihr kommt, um für euch beten zu lassen, denkt daran, die Bibel hat dies gesagt. Dies ist wahr. Jakobus 5.14: „Ist jemand krank unter euch, rufe er die Ältesten der Gemeinde zu sich. Sie mögen über ihm beten und ihn mit Öl salben. Das Gebet des Glaubens wird den Kranken retten und Gott wird ihn aufrichten.” Es ist eine Verheißung, wenn ihr es glauben werdet. Deshalb, seht ihr, ist Heilung dem Einzelnen zugeteilt. Es war in den Tagen von Jesus von Nazareth. Er konnte die Menschen nicht gegen ihren - gegen ihren eigenen Glauben heilen. Er sagte: „Ich kann, wenn du glaubst. Wenn du glaubst, dass ich in der Lage bin, dies zu tun, kann ich es tun.” Wenn ihr es glauben könnt!
So, einige Leute werfen die - werfen die Kraft der Heilung auf jemand anderen, Evangelisten. Das ist es nicht. Die Kraft der Heilung ist in euch. Es ist in euch. Sie spannen den Wagen einfach vor das Pferd. Evangelisten haben keine Kraft zu heilen. Es ist der Heilige Geist, der Kraft zum Heilen hat und ihr habt den Heiligen Geist. Das ist der kleine Baum, der ihr seid und alle Dinge, die ihr benötigt, sind in euch. So, deshalb fangt einfach an, von Gottes Verheißung zu trinken, sagt: „Es ist die Wahrheit. Gott sagte, Er würde mich heilen. 'In Seinen Wunden bin ich geheilt.'” Da habt ihr es. Wißt ihr, was zu tun ist? Ihr beginnt, Heilung herauszudrängen, das ist alles. Seht?
Und dann können andere sehen, was ihr hattet.
E-14 Nun, was ist... “Glaube ist eine Verwirklichung dessen, was man hofft; ein Überführt sein von Dingen, die man nicht sieht.” Ich mag diesen kleinen Baum einpflanzen. Ich sehe die Äpfel nicht, doch sie sind darin. Jener kleine Baum weiß, dass sie darin sind. So beginnt er einfach zu trinken, drängen, drängen, denn er wußte: „Es ist in mir. Ich werde es nach einer Weile herausbekommen. Gebt mir ein wenig Zeit. Bewahrt mir einfach ein wenig Zeit auf.” Er trinkt einfach weiter. „Jawohl, ich weiß, dass die Äpfel in mir sind. Ich werde sie nach einer Weile herausbringen.” Und die erste Sache, wißt ihr, hier kommen sie. Hier kommen die Äpfel, weil er glaubte, dass sie in ihm sind.
Und wenn ihr glaubt, dass die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes in euch ist, euch zu heilen, da sind sie. Drängt einfach weiter. Seht? Ihr habt Glauben. Ihr könnt die Ergebnisse nicht sofort sehen. Ihr seht es nicht.
E-15 Nun seht, Jakobus rechtfertigte Abraham durch seine Werke. Paulus rechtfertigte Abraham durch seinen Glauben. Was sagen wir dann zwischen den beiden? Abraham sprach darüber... Ich meine, Paulus sprach darüber, was Gott in Abraham sah. Und Jakobus sprach darüber, was die Menschen in Abraham sahen. Seht? Nun, seht? Deshalb, Gott wußte, bevor das Baby kam, dass Abraham Glauben hatte. Und Abraham bewies es Gott, indem er sich so benahm, als wenn das Baby käme, obwohl er unfruchtbar war. Er hatte keine Kinder. Der Schoß seiner Frau war tot und er war unfruchtbar. Aber trotzdem wußte er: „Irgendwo da drinnen war das Baby.” Ihr seht, dass er weiter an der Verheißung trank, lehnte sich an Gottes große El-Shaddai, die Brust . Lehnte sich dort an, trank, wußte, dass Gott es ihm geben würde; wußte, dass es eine Verheißung war und Er es tun musste. Und wir sind die Kinder Abrahams. So laßt uns an Seine Verheißung anlehnen und dort festhalten, wissend, dass Gott es tun wird. Er sagte es so. Glaubt ihr es jetzt? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
Dann laßt die Kranken sich hier drüben auf den Seiten aufreihen, die anderen, die für sich beten lassen wollen. Und wir werden die Ältesten hier herbekommen und sie mit Öl salben. Ich werde über sie beten. Und wir werden glauben, dass Gott jeden einzelnen von ihnen gesund machen wird: „Wenn du glauben kannst.” Teddy, wo bist du? Komm' auf diese rechte Seite herum. Das ist gut. Und ich möchte, dass du Glaube nur spielst. Und während sie kommen, laßt uns einfach unsere Häupter beugen, die übrigen der Zuhörerschaft und laßt uns im Gebet sein für diese Menschen, die kommen.
E-16 Unser Himmlischer Vater, wir bringen Dir heute morgen im Namen von Jesus Christus diese arme, kranke, leidende Menschheit, die in diesem schrecklichen, verhängnisvollen Zustand ist. Ich glaube Dir, Herr. Ich - ich weiß, dass Deine Worte wahr sind. Sie sind so wahr! Sie können nicht versagen, weil Sie Gottes Ewiges und immerwährendes Wort sind. Sie sind wie Gott allmächtig, denn Sie sind ein Teil von Ihm. „Am Anfang war das Wort, und das Wort war bei Gott und das Wort war Gott. Und das Wort wurde Fleisch und wohnte unter uns.” Nun, wir glauben das, Herr, von ganzem Herzen, mit unserer ganzen Seele, mit allem, was in uns ist. Wir glauben es.
Und ich habe versucht, es in einer einfachen, kindlichen Weise den Menschen darzustellen, damit sie verstehen und erkennen mögen, dass die Kraft Gottes in ihnen liegt. Wenn sie nur ihren Glauben haben und Gottes Anordnungen folgen können. Das ist es, wie sie errettet wurden. Sie kamen und taten Buße von ihren Sünden und wurden auf den Namen von Jesus Christus getauft, gemäß dieser Bibel, Apostelgeschichte 2. Und dann sagte Petrus, dass: „Ihr werdet die Gabe des Heiligen Geistes empfangen.” Und hier kommt Es, ganz genauso, denn Es ist Gottes Wort manifestiert. Na gut, nun dasselbe, Vater, wissen wir ist wahr, wenn wir die Kranken mit Öl salben und darüber beten. „Das Gebet des Glaubens wird die Kranken erretten. Gott wird sie aufrichten.”
Gott, möge jeder einzelne heute Morgen diesen Altar, hier herum, so glücklich und jubelnd verlassen, wissend, dass Gott sie geheilt hat. „Geh' und sei gesund.” Denn wir übergeben sie Dir jetzt im Namen von Jesus Christus. Möge jeder einzelne geheilt sein und die Vision erfassen, was es bedeutet. „Wie Abraham, nannte solche Dinge, die nicht sind, als ob sie wären.” Ganz gleich, was die Ergebnisse sind, das hat nichts mit Glauben zu tun. Ergebnisse sind nichts. Glaube hat bereits einen Halt gefunden. „Und Glaube ist die Verwirklichung dessen, was man hofft, und das Überführt sein von Dingen, die man nicht sieht.” Gott, möge es tief in ihre Herzen einsinken, denn Sie brauchen Dich. Ich gehe als Dein demütiger Knecht, um mit anderen Knechten hier entlang zu stehen und bete, Gott, unser Herz für diese kranken Menschen einzusetzen. Wir bitten es in Jesu' Namen. Amen.
E-17 Jemand sagte, dass Bruder Estel Beeler im Gebäude wäre. Ich glaube, es ist noch ein anderen Prediger hier, der heute morgen im Gebet leitete. Wir möchten alle Prediger hier bitten, was immer sie sind, wenn ihr hier heraufkommen und dann gerade einen Augenblick um diesen Altar mit uns stehen würdet, bitte, Brüder. Und die Männer... Bruder Ben, danke. Kommt gerade hoch und steht hier herum, hier um diesen Altar herum, damit wir mit diesen Menschen Gebet haben können, Hände auf sie legen können.

Und wenn ich euch dazu bekommen kann, das zu glauben und das mit eurem ganzen Herzen zu glauben, werdet ihr geheilt werden, wenn ich euch dazu bekomme, die Vision wirklich zu sehen.
Nun schaut, jene Jünger standen dort, schüttelten ihn vielleicht, drängten ihn vielleicht mehr. „Glaube es, Bruder! Glaube es! Halleluja! Glaube es! Heile ihn, Herr! Heile ihn! Aber der Teufel blieb gerade da, weil er nicht genug Glauben finden konnte, der ihn zwang wegzugehen. Doch hier kommt Einer über den Hügel herunter. Und sobald jener Teufel es wahrnahm, war das ein wenig anders als bei den anderen Männern. Seht? Nun, das ist die Art Männer, die wir da entlang sein wollen, wie unser Herr Jesus. Jawohl. Nur kommt nicht für eine Schau, sondern kommt, liebt unseren Gott, wißt, dass wir beauftragt sind, zu gehen und dies zu tun. Dies ist unser Auftrag.
E-19 Dann gehen sie zu jenem Vater hinauf. Ich denke, darüber ist dieses Lied geschrieben worden, komponiert vom Wort. Er sagte: „Herr, erbarme Dich über meinen Sohn, denn er ist schrecklich geplagt von einem Teufel.” Sagte: „Es wirft ihn ins Feuer und grämt sich und so weiter.” Er sagte: „Ich brachte ihn zu Deinen Jüngern, doch sie konnten ihn nicht heilen. Aber ich - ich - ich dachte...
Er sagte: „Ich kann, wenn du glauben wirst. Nun, ich habe die Macht in Mir,” sagte Er, „es zu tun, wenn du das glauben könntest.”

So viele der Reihe entlang beobachten sie, um ihre Reaktion zu sehen, wie sie waren, um zu sehen, wie sie auf eine Aktion reagieren. Seht? Es gibt so etwas wie eine Aktion, sie erhoben sich und kamen nach vorn. Eine andere Sache ist, wie sie auf jene Aktion reagieren, die sie taten. E-20 Nun, ich bin sicher, dass unser Pastor heute Morgen für uns eine Botschaft hat. Zu einer Sache möchte ich eine Anmerkung machen. Bemerkte gerade ein katholisches Mädchen, das damit am Altar stand. Vor ein paar Tagen waren sie in meinem Haus, sie und ihr Mann. Und ich kannte ihren Mann seit einiger Zeit. Und - und da war etwas Besonders, während wir bei einem privaten Interview saßen. Das ist, wo wir eine Vision hatten. Da pflegte ich es zu haben, hier in der Gemeinde, doch nahm jenes einfach am Morgen und so weiter.
Und deshalb war es da drinnen. Ich sagte niemals etwas, wegen ihr als Mädchen, noch eine Sache, stets in einer katholischen Kirche erzogen und so weiter. Aber sie ging, um für ihre Mutter zu sprechen. Und während dieser Zeit sah ich eine Vision von ihrer Mutter. Sagte ihr, was das Problem ihrer Mutter war und beschrieb sie und wie ihre Mutter aussah. Natürlich beurteilte sie, ob es richtig war oder nicht. Ich sah ihre Mutter niemals in meinem Leben. Sie weiß das.
Und heute Morgen kam das Mädchen zum Altar hier und stand, um ein Bekenntnis zu machen und Christus als ihren Erretter anzunehmen. Sie tat das heute Morgen am Altar.
Bruder Neville, nicht wissend, salbte sie mit Öl. Wie... wie Gott wirkt! Salbte sie mit Öl für die Kranken. Doch beobachtet die Bewegung des Heiligen Geistes. Nun, als gesalbt, wirklich nicht krank, aber gesalbt. Seht, wie alles gerade richtig vor sich geht? Sie stand nun als Christ, nachdem sie, was wir glauben, ein Christ wurde. Nun, sie sagte: „Würdest du für meine Mutter beten? Sie ist krank.” Das ist dieselbe. So, das Salböl war vorher angebracht. Ich dachte, wie passend, dass, seht, jemand, der gerade errettet ist. Christus stand für uns alle. Er steht für alle.
Und sobald dieses Mädchen ein Christ wird, dann möchte sie auch für jemanden stehen, zeigt, dass der Geist Christi in uns kommt, wenn wir wirklich errettet sind. Nun, das ist wirklich schön. Ich - ich schätze das gewiß, diesen schönen christlichen Geist des Glaubens. Nun, denkt einfach daran.
E-21 Nun, für diese junge Dame, sie ist irgendwo hier und für noch eine katholische Dame, die vorbeikam. Und ich möchte in diesem diese Worte sagen, gerade bevor ich den Gottesdienst unserem Pastor übergebe, seht. [Bruder Neville sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
Nun, einstmals war die katholische Kirche wie diese Gemeinde. Wenn ihr zurückgehen werdet und die Bibel lest, die wir glauben und ihr wißt, dass die katholische Kirche die erste Gemeinde war. Das ist wahr. Doch sie entfernte sich von Ihren Lehren. Dies war die Lehre der katholischen Kirche. Doch seht ihr, sie haben sechshundert und noch was andere Bücher, die Päpste und so weiter geschrieben hatten, die für sie genauso heilig wie die Bibel sind.
So, seht, was dies ist, ihr habt euch nicht verändert. Was ihr getan habt, ihr habt euch einfach bekehrt. Seht? Nun, wenn ihr nehmt...
E-22 Natürlich, ich vermute, vielleicht einige von euch, diese zwei heute Morgen sind Frauen. Es mögen einige katholische Männer hier sitzen. Wenn ihr zur Kirchengeschichte zurückgeht, wenn ihr eure Priester fragtet: “Die Handlung dieser Apostel in der Bibel hier, war das die Weise, die... Waren das die ersten Katholiken?” Er wird sagen: „Ja.” Und das ist wahr.
Sie waren es. Nun, sie, schaut welche Art Religion sie hatten. Sie trafen sich in kleinen einfachen Plätzen. Sie sagten nie: „Gegrüßte seist du Maria's” oder „Vater unser's.” Das ist eine Tradition der Kirche. Was sagten sie? Sie priesen Gott. Sie schrien. Sie weinten.
E-23 Schaut hier in Apostelgeschichte 2, als der heilige Apostel Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes und alle zusammen waren. Die Bibel sagte, sie sprachen in Zungen. Und sie schrien und benahmen sich sogar so, so mit dem Geist gefüllt, bis sie sich benahmen, als wären sie betrunken und dass sogar die Außenwelt fragte: „Sind dies nicht alle Betrunkene?”
Und Petrus dann, der Apostel, der heilige Petrus, als er aufstand und sagte: „Männer und Brüder, diese Männer sind nicht trunken, sondern sie sind mit dem Geist gefüllt. Und die - und die Bibel sagte, sie waren es. Nun, das war die erste katholische Kirche, gemäß ihren Lehren.
Nun, ihr seht, nach ungefähr zweihundert Jahren, fingen die Würdevollen an, in die Gemeinde zu gelangen. Was taten sie dann? Sie machten die erste Organisation beim Konzil von Nizäa, 606 nach Christus. Sie machten ihre...
Als das Nizäische Konzil in Nizäa, Rom, abgehalten wurde, fingen sie an, die ganzen großen Würdevollen hereinzubekommen und sie gründeten einfach eine Kirche und machten eine Kirche.
Danach zerbrach sie vier- oder fünfmal. Sie gingen hinein, gingen davon weg, zum Bischof; vom Bischof zu einem Papst. Und davon kommen die Griechisch-Orthodoxen und verschiedene, bis sie es einfach trennten. Und was seht ihr heute? Sie ist einfach in alle Arten von Trennungen.
E-24 Doch was wir versuchen zu tun, mein katholischer Freund, sieh mal, wir sind auch katholisch. Wir sind die ersten anfänglichen Katholiken. Und die Gemeinde, die sie uns jetzt nennen, meistens sieht man uns als Pfingstler, weil wir an die pfingstliche Segnung glauben. Das ist es, wo die katholische Kirche organisiert wurde.
Und in unseren Pfingstorganisationen heute, wenn - wenn die Welt fünfhundert Jahre länger bestehen würde, wäre diese Pfingstorganisation formaler als die katholische Kirche heute ist. Sie gelangt einfach irgendwie weiter hinweg. Und wenn sie organisieren, machen sie eine Loge daraus. Und dann werden sie einfach Logen von Mitgliedern mit unbekehrten Seelen.
Für meine kostbaren, lieben Brüder und Schwestern, für euch alle. Als Diener Gottes, ich sagte das nie zuvor in der Welt in dieser Gemeinde, ich sagte es nie. Doch als Prophet des Herrn sage ich euch: „Dies ist das Licht. Wandelt Darin.” [Versammlung jubelt und sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] `
Nun, jener Geist, der in Ihm war, war der Geist Gottes. „Dieser Geist, vielfältig und auf vielerlei Weise salbte die Propheten, um den Menschen die Botschaft zu bringen; in den letzten Tagen durch Christus; und jetzt in diesen Tagen hier durch das Evangelium.”
E-2 Nun, wenn wir Christus in unserem Herzen empfangen, ist alles da, was wir benötigen. Da ist Ewiges Leben.
Nun, Christus konnte nicht zurückkommen, bevor drei Tage erfüllt waren. Weil Sein Geist hinter einer Wand war, wie eine Sperre, so, so dass Er jene Sperre nicht überqueren konnte, weil es das gesprochene Wort Gottes war, dass: „Er sollte drei Tage und drei Nächte im Grab liegen.” Nun, Er konnte nicht zurückkehren, bis diese drei Tage und Nächte vorüber waren. Als dann drei Tage und Nächte vorüber waren, wurde Sein Geist freigesetzt. Er ging direkt zu Seiner Seele und Seine Seele kehrte zurück und holte den Leib ab und erfüllte, was Er sagte. „Ich habe Vollmacht, Mein Leben niederzulegen. Ich habe Vollmacht, Es wieder aufzunehmen. Ich habe Vollmacht.”
E-3 Nun, jeder von euch hat in derselben Weise Macht, weil ihr Söhne und Töchter Gottes seid. Und derselbe Geist, der heute Morgen in euch ist, der Heilige Geist, der heute Morgen in euch ist, dieser Heilige Geist wird euch auferwecken. So, ihr habt die Macht, euch selbst wieder aufzuerwecken.
Wenn ihr sterbt, wird eure Seele in die - die... unter den Altar Gottes gehen, nicht in... direkt in die Gegenwart Gottes. Nun, euer Geist wird zu Gott gehen, doch ihr könnt nicht zurückkommen. Denkt daran, in der Bibel heißt es, dass der Geist... ‚Die Seelen unter dem Altar rufen: ‚Herr, wie lange, wie lange?'“ Und sie könnten nicht zurückkehren, bis sich die Schriften erfüllen, und wie Christus, könnten nicht zurückkehren, bis sich die Schriften erfüllen. Dann, nachdem alles getan wurde, die ganzen Leiden vorbei sind und die Brüder dieselben Dinge erlitten haben, oder wir gelitten haben, wie sie litten und so weiter; dann, an jenem Tag, werdet ihr genau wissen, wo ihr begraben seid, euer Geist wird von Gott freigesetzt und zur Seele kommen.
E-4 Nun, die Seele ist jener Teil von euch, der weiß und versteht, eure Intelligenz. Erinnert ihr euch an die Vision, die ich hatte, oder die kleine Entrückung und an diesen Ort ging und jene Menschen sah? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] Nun, euer Geist wird zu jenem Leib zurückkehren und diese - diese Art Leib, die Seele, die ein Leib ist, der nicht essen muss und so weiter. „Wenn dieses irdische Zelthaus zerstört wird, haben wir bereits ein anderes, das auf uns wartet”, einen himmlischen Leib. Und mit diesem Geist und dieser Seele und himmlischen Leib werdet ihr diesen natürlichen Leib für das große Tausendjährige Reich wieder auferwecken. Seht? Ihr habt jetzt die Kraft in euch, das jetzt zu tun.
Aber diese Kraft, die ihr jetzt in euch habt, könnte eine neue Welt machen. Gott hat keine kleinen, schwachen Punkte; und großen starken Punkte, die kräftig sind. Die allerkleinste Berührung Gottes ist allmächtig, seht, die allerkleinste Berührung Gottes.
So, ihr wißt es. So, ich versuche euch jetzt in den Glauben zu bringen.
E-5 Ihr wißt, dass etwas mit euch als Christ geschah. Wißt ihr das? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] Ihr pflegtet, euch hier unten im Schmutz zu bewegen, mit dem ganzen Schmutz und Sünde und Trinken und Spielen und - und Dingen der Welt. Nun ja, sobald ihr glaubtet, dass Christus eure Sünden vergab, habt ihr euch über dieses Zeug erhoben. Nun bewegt ihr euch hier oben, seht, über allem. Warum? Weil ihr glaubt, dass ihr ein Christ seid. Als ihr dann Christus annahmt und der Heilige Geist zu euch kam, habt ihr dann Glauben an den Heiligen Geist, um euch die Kraft zu geben, euch über diese Art Leben der Sünde zu bewegen. In Ordnung, nun, die einzige Sache, die ihr tun müßt, um euch höher in Heilung hinein zubewegen, habt einfach mehr Glauben, einfach - stoßt euch einfach hinauf. Seht? Und da habt ihr es.
Wenn ihr jetzt krank seid und ihr kein Christ seid, werde gerade jetzt ein Christ, damit diese Heilungskraft in euch hineinkommt, dadurch, dass ihr ein Christ werdet. Und das wird euch den Glauben geben, euch über Sünde zu bewegen. Es wird euch Glauben geben. Und alles, was ihr auf dieser Reise benötigt, ist direkt jetzt in euch. Und das einzige, was ihr tun müßt, ist Glauben an Gott zu haben, der jene guten Dinge durch den Heiligen Geist aus euch hinausdrängt, die in euch sind. Versteht ihr das jetzt sicher? Habt ihr es erfaßt? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
E-6 Ich glaube, Billy sagte mir gestern Abend, rief mich an und sagte: „Komm' heute Morgen her, besonders für eine Person, komm', die dachte, dass wir diese Woche Versammlungen von jenen Sieben Siegeln haben.” Und sie brachten ein krankes Kind, glaube ich. Und wenn du jetzt hier bist, mein Herr, denke daran, du kannst nicht... Dein - dein Glaube muss für dieses Kind stehen, wenn es - wenn es ein kleiner Säugling ist.
Doch laßt mich jetzt eine andere Schriftstelle nehmen, wenn es ist Ordnung ist, nur einen Augenblick. [Bruder Neville sagt: „Nur zu, Bruder. Amen.” - Verf.] Erinnert euch jetzt, im Evangelium lesen wir drüben im 16. Kapitel der Apostelgeschichte, glaube ich, wo Paulus und Silas eines Nachts im Gefängnis waren. Und sie waren geschlagen worden, weil sie einen teuflischen Geist aus einem wahrsagenden Mädchen austrieben. Und es war... Und sie, ihr Meister war ärgerlich darüber geworden. Und schlug sie, warf sie ins inwendige Gefängnis. Und als sie das dann taten, während Paulus und Silas beteten und Gott schickte ein Erdbeben und erschütterte das Gefängnis.
E-7 Der philippische Kerkermeister als eine Zenturio, um seine - seine Gefangenen freizulassen, müßte mit seinem eigenen Leben für die Gefangenen bezahlen. Er zog sein Schwert und wollte Selbstmord begehen, als Paulus vorbaute und sagte: „Tu dir kein Leid an. Wir sind alle hier.” Und dieser Zenturio hatten einige Eindrücke gesammelt, die sie von Paulus und ihnen hatten. Sie mögen Loblieder gesungen haben. Sie mögen Zeugnis gegeben oder etwas getan haben. Aber was auch immer es war, sie wußten, dass sie heilige Männer waren. Sie wußten, es war etwas anders mit jenen Männern. Denn sofort fragte er: „Was muss ich tun, um errettet zu werden? Was muss ich tun, um errettet zu werden?”
E-8 Nun, Paulus sagte: „Glaube an den Herrn Jesus Christus und du und dein Haus wirst errettet werden.” Na gut, nun, wenn Glauben an den Herrn Jesus Christus... Das heißt nicht, dass seine Errettung sein Haus erretten würde. Doch wenn er genug Glauben an Gott für seine eigene Errettung hat, kann er denselben Glauben für sein Haus haben. Und sein Haus muss hereinkommen, seht, dasselbe.
Dasselbe, was Hiob tat, wie ich neulich abends unten in einer Versammlung in Georgia sagte. Ich sagte: „Hiob,” er sagte: „nun, ich weiß nicht, ob meine Kinder gesündigt haben, aber, was ist, wenn sie gesündigt haben?” Und Hiob musste eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, das war, ein Brandopfer darzubringen. Er sagte, er würde das Brandopfer darbringen, falls seine Kinder gesündigt hatten, wären ihnen dann ihre Sünden vergeben. Und es war gut, dass jener Vater es tat.
Es ist ein gut denkender Vater. Wir brauchen heute mehr von dieser Art Väter. Und Hiob opferte das Brandopfer. Das war, bevor seine Tragödie begann. Aber als alle seine Kinder getötet waren und alle seine Schafe zerstört und alles, was er hatte, genommen, saß er auf dem Aschehaufen hinter seinem Haus, schabte sich mit einer Tonscherbe.
E-9 Habt ihr bemerkt, nach den Tagen seiner Tragödie, als Gott begann, ihn wiederzuerstatten? Wo er zehntausend Stück Vieh hatte und so weiter, erstattete Er doppelt. Und verdoppelte seine Schafe und verdoppelte alles. Aber habt ihr bemerkt? Und Gott gab Hiob auch seine sieben Kinder. Habt ihr je nachgedacht, wo sie sich befanden? Jenes Brandopfer trat für sie ein. Sie waren errettet, in der Herrlichkeit, warteten auf ihn. Er ist heute bei ihnen. „Du und dein Haus wirst errettet werden.” Seht?
Nun, Hiob musste eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, das Brandopfer darbringen. Ihr müßt eine Sache tun, um gerecht zu sein, dass ist, habt Glauben an Gott. Denn durch Glauben seid ihr errettet, durch Glauben seid ihr geheilt, durch Glauben bekommt ihr alles, was ihr habt. Seht? Es ist durch Glauben, dass ihr es glaubt. Nun: „Glaube an den Herrn Jesus Christus und du und dein Haus wirst errettet.”
E-10 Nun, mein Herr, wenn du das Baby hier hast, damit dafür gebetet wird, glaube selber. Ich bin hier, um meinen Glauben mit deinem zu verbinden und wir werden gemeinsam glauben, dass Gott das Baby heilen wird. Seht ihr, wir haben die Kraft in uns, das zu tun. Ihr habt die Kraft in euch, es zu tun. Jeder Christ hat die Kraft, es zu tun. Doch jetzt, wenn wir einfach...
Diese Kraft wird durch ein Gesetz kontrolliert. Wie ich oft gesagt habe, ist es wie Schwerkraft Wasser kontrolliert, denn es ist ein Gesetz. Schwerkraft kontrolliert Wasser. Die Sonne wird kontrolliert durch die - durch die... oder die Erde, die Erdumdrehung. Ihr könnt die Sonne nicht einfach eine Sache tun lassen und dann sagen: „Ich glaube, ich möchte ein bißchen länger schlafen. Warte eine Stunde.” Sie würde es nicht tun, sehen, denn es gibt ein Gesetz. Wenn ihr gemäß jenem Gesetz funktionieren werdet, nun ja, dann wird alles in Ordnung sein. Wenn ihr rechtzeitig zu Bett geht, könnt ihr rechtzeitig aufwachen.
E-11 Und wenn ihr... Wie wir den See Superior haben, den See Ontario, See Huron und all solche großen Seen da oben. Wir haben zehntausend mal zehntausend Quadratmeter Boden draußen in Nevada und Kalifornien und Arizona und Neu Mexiko, der sich nach jenem Wasser verzehrt, Land, das alles wachsen lassen würde. Ihr könntet die ganze Welt da draußen versorgen, wenn ihr nur dieses Wasser da unten hättet, was wir hier oben haben. Und es würde nichts ausmachen, weil es Quellenversorgung ist. Sobald es ausgeht, kommt es einfach wieder auf den Wasserspiegel herauf, denn Schwerkraft hält es da. Na gut, nun, wenn ihr gemäß dem Gesetz der Schwerkraft arbeiten könnt, könnt ihr all diese großen Seen nehmen und das ganze Land da draußen bewässern und die ganze Welt versorgen, niemand wäre hungrig. Doch ihr könnt nicht hier sitzen und sagen: „Jawohl. Ich erkenne es. Sicher.” Ihr müßt gehen und es tun.
E-12 Na gut, das ist dasselbe mit dem Gesetz Gottes. Das Gesetz Gottes ist Glauben. Und wir haben heute Morgen Glauben hier, jede Krankheit zu heilen, alles zu tun. Doch es wird durch ein Gesetz kontrolliert und das Gesetz ist Glauben. Gottes Gesetz ist Glauben. Jesus sagte: „Was immer ihr auch möchtet, wenn ihr betet, wenn ihr glaubt, bekommt ihr es, könnt ihr es haben.” Da habt ihr es. So, es ist der Glaube, der es kontrolliert.
Und Glaube ist uns gegeben, gerade wie wir ihn benötigen. Nun, wir müssen... Gott gibt einigen von uns etwas Glauben, einigen einen anderen Glauben. Es ist nicht irgendeine große übernatürliche Kraft, die ihr habt. Denn, wenn ihr ein Christ werdet, habt ihr - ihr bereits die Kraft, doch es mangelt euch an Glauben, diese Kraft umzusetzen.
E-13 So nun, heute Morgen, wenn ihr kommt, um für euch beten zu lassen, denkt daran, die Bibel hat dies gesagt. Dies ist wahr. Jakobus 5.14: „Ist jemand krank unter euch, rufe er die Ältesten der Gemeinde zu sich. Sie mögen über ihm beten und ihn mit Öl salben. Das Gebet des Glaubens wird den Kranken retten und Gott wird ihn aufrichten.” Es ist eine Verheißung, wenn ihr es glauben werdet. Deshalb, seht ihr, ist Heilung dem Einzelnen zugeteilt. Es war in den Tagen von Jesus von Nazareth. Er konnte die Menschen nicht gegen ihren - gegen ihren eigenen Glauben heilen. Er sagte: „Ich kann, wenn du glaubst. Wenn du glaubst, dass ich in der Lage bin, dies zu tun, kann ich es tun.” Wenn ihr es glauben könnt!
So, einige Leute werfen die - werfen die Kraft der Heilung auf jemand anderen, Evangelisten. Das ist es nicht. Die Kraft der Heilung ist in euch. Es ist in euch. Sie spannen den Wagen einfach vor das Pferd. Evangelisten haben keine Kraft zu heilen. Es ist der Heilige Geist, der Kraft zum Heilen hat und ihr habt den Heiligen Geist. Das ist der kleine Baum, der ihr seid und alle Dinge, die ihr benötigt, sind in euch. So, deshalb fangt einfach an, von Gottes Verheißung zu trinken, sagt: „Es ist die Wahrheit. Gott sagte, Er würde mich heilen. 'In Seinen Wunden bin ich geheilt.'” Da habt ihr es. Wißt ihr, was zu tun ist? Ihr beginnt, Heilung herauszudrängen, das ist alles. Seht?
Und dann können andere sehen, was ihr hattet.
E-14 Nun, was ist... “Glaube ist eine Verwirklichung dessen, was man hofft; ein Überführt sein von Dingen, die man nicht sieht.” Ich mag diesen kleinen Baum einpflanzen. Ich sehe die Äpfel nicht, doch sie sind darin. Jener kleine Baum weiß, dass sie darin sind. So beginnt er einfach zu trinken, drängen, drängen, denn er wußte: „Es ist in mir. Ich werde es nach einer Weile herausbekommen. Gebt mir ein wenig Zeit. Bewahrt mir einfach ein wenig Zeit auf.” Er trinkt einfach weiter. „Jawohl, ich weiß, dass die Äpfel in mir sind. Ich werde sie nach einer Weile herausbringen.” Und die erste Sache, wißt ihr, hier kommen sie. Hier kommen die Äpfel, weil er glaubte, dass sie in ihm sind.
Und wenn ihr glaubt, dass die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes in euch ist, euch zu heilen, da sind sie. Drängt einfach weiter. Seht? Ihr habt Glauben. Ihr könnt die Ergebnisse nicht sofort sehen. Ihr seht es nicht.
E-15 Nun seht, Jakobus rechtfertigte Abraham durch seine Werke. Paulus rechtfertigte Abraham durch seinen Glauben. Was sagen wir dann zwischen den beiden? Abraham sprach darüber... Ich meine, Paulus sprach darüber, was Gott in Abraham sah. Und Jakobus sprach darüber, was die Menschen in Abraham sahen. Seht? Nun, seht? Deshalb, Gott wußte, bevor das Baby kam, dass Abraham Glauben hatte. Und Abraham bewies es Gott, indem er sich so benahm, als wenn das Baby käme, obwohl er unfruchtbar war. Er hatte keine Kinder. Der Schoß seiner Frau war tot und er war unfruchtbar. Aber trotzdem wußte er: „Irgendwo da drinnen war das Baby.” Ihr seht, dass er weiter an der Verheißung trank, lehnte sich an Gottes große El-Shaddai, die Brust . Lehnte sich dort an, trank, wußte, dass Gott es ihm geben würde; wußte, dass es eine Verheißung war und Er es tun musste. Und wir sind die Kinder Abrahams. So laßt uns an Seine Verheißung anlehnen und dort festhalten, wissend, dass Gott es tun wird. Er sagte es so. Glaubt ihr es jetzt? [Versammlung sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
Dann laßt die Kranken sich hier drüben auf den Seiten aufreihen, die anderen, die für sich beten lassen wollen. Und wir werden die Ältesten hier herbekommen und sie mit Öl salben. Ich werde über sie beten. Und wir werden glauben, dass Gott jeden einzelnen von ihnen gesund machen wird: „Wenn du glauben kannst.” Teddy, wo bist du? Komm' auf diese rechte Seite herum. Das ist gut. Und ich möchte, dass du Glaube nur spielst. Und während sie kommen, laßt uns einfach unsere Häupter beugen, die übrigen der Zuhörerschaft und laßt uns im Gebet sein für diese Menschen, die kommen.
E-16 Unser Himmlischer Vater, wir bringen Dir heute morgen im Namen von Jesus Christus diese arme, kranke, leidende Menschheit, die in diesem schrecklichen, verhängnisvollen Zustand ist. Ich glaube Dir, Herr. Ich - ich weiß, dass Deine Worte wahr sind. Sie sind so wahr! Sie können nicht versagen, weil Sie Gottes Ewiges und immerwährendes Wort sind. Sie sind wie Gott allmächtig, denn Sie sind ein Teil von Ihm. „Am Anfang war das Wort, und das Wort war bei Gott und das Wort war Gott. Und das Wort wurde Fleisch und wohnte unter uns.” Nun, wir glauben das, Herr, von ganzem Herzen, mit unserer ganzen Seele, mit allem, was in uns ist. Wir glauben es.
Und ich habe versucht, es in einer einfachen, kindlichen Weise den Menschen darzustellen, damit sie verstehen und erkennen mögen, dass die Kraft Gottes in ihnen liegt. Wenn sie nur ihren Glauben haben und Gottes Anordnungen folgen können. Das ist es, wie sie errettet wurden. Sie kamen und taten Buße von ihren Sünden und wurden auf den Namen von Jesus Christus getauft, gemäß dieser Bibel, Apostelgeschichte 2. Und dann sagte Petrus, dass: „Ihr werdet die Gabe des Heiligen Geistes empfangen.” Und hier kommt Es, ganz genauso, denn Es ist Gottes Wort manifestiert. Na gut, nun dasselbe, Vater, wissen wir ist wahr, wenn wir die Kranken mit Öl salben und darüber beten. „Das Gebet des Glaubens wird die Kranken erretten. Gott wird sie aufrichten.”
Gott, möge jeder einzelne heute Morgen diesen Altar, hier herum, so glücklich und jubelnd verlassen, wissend, dass Gott sie geheilt hat. „Geh' und sei gesund.” Denn wir übergeben sie Dir jetzt im Namen von Jesus Christus. Möge jeder einzelne geheilt sein und die Vision erfassen, was es bedeutet. „Wie Abraham, nannte solche Dinge, die nicht sind, als ob sie wären.” Ganz gleich, was die Ergebnisse sind, das hat nichts mit Glauben zu tun. Ergebnisse sind nichts. Glaube hat bereits einen Halt gefunden. „Und Glaube ist die Verwirklichung dessen, was man hofft, und das Überführt sein von Dingen, die man nicht sieht.” Gott, möge es tief in ihre Herzen einsinken, denn Sie brauchen Dich. Ich gehe als Dein demütiger Knecht, um mit anderen Knechten hier entlang zu stehen und bete, Gott, unser Herz für diese kranken Menschen einzusetzen. Wir bitten es in Jesu' Namen. Amen.
E-17 Jemand sagte, dass Bruder Estel Beeler im Gebäude wäre. Ich glaube, es ist noch ein anderen Prediger hier, der heute morgen im Gebet leitete. Wir möchten alle Prediger hier bitten, was immer sie sind, wenn ihr hier heraufkommen und dann gerade einen Augenblick um diesen Altar mit uns stehen würdet, bitte, Brüder. Und die Männer... Bruder Ben, danke. Kommt gerade hoch und steht hier herum, hier um diesen Altar herum, damit wir mit diesen Menschen Gebet haben können, Hände auf sie legen können.
Nun, während sie das Lied spielen. Und die Prediger nehmen ihren Platz hier ein, damit wir, jeder einzelne, Hände auf die Kranken legen können.
E-18 Laßt mich sehen, kommt drüben über den Berg hinunter. Ich sehe einen Mann kommen, war in keiner Weise anders wie jeder andere Mann. Nur ein einfacher Mann, etwas klein von Gestalt, eher zerbrechlich. Und während wir Ihn sehen, wie Seine Augen auf eine - eine Szene herunterschauen, die sich unten im Tal abspielt. Es waren Seine Apostel. Sie hatten einen Jungen da unten, der Epilepsie hatte und zweifellos sagten sie: „Heile ihn, Herr! Heile ihn!” Aber seht ihr, nur sagen: „Heile ihn, Herr, heile ihn,” wird es nicht bewirken. Das wird es einfach nicht bewirken. Es muss etwas hinter dem „Heile ihn, Herr, heile ihn” sein. Seht? Und wenn ich euch dazu bekommen kann, das zu glauben und das mit eurem ganzen Herzen zu glauben, werdet ihr geheilt werden, wenn ich euch dazu bekomme, die Vision wirklich zu sehen.
Nun schaut, jene Jünger standen dort, schüttelten ihn vielleicht, drängten ihn vielleicht mehr. „Glaube es, Bruder! Glaube es! Halleluja! Glaube es! Heile ihn, Herr! Heile ihn! Aber der Teufel blieb gerade da, weil er nicht genug Glauben finden konnte, der ihn zwang wegzugehen. Doch hier kommt Einer über den Hügel herunter. Und sobald jener Teufel es wahrnahm, war das ein wenig anders als bei den anderen Männern. Seht? Nun, das ist die Art Männer, die wir da entlang sein wollen, wie unser Herr Jesus. Jawohl. Nur kommt nicht für eine Schau, sondern kommt, liebt unseren Gott, wißt, dass wir beauftragt sind, zu gehen und dies zu tun. Dies ist unser Auftrag.
E-19 Dann gehen sie zu jenem Vater hinauf. Ich denke, darüber ist dieses Lied geschrieben worden, komponiert vom Wort. Er sagte: „Herr, erbarme Dich über meinen Sohn, denn er ist schrecklich geplagt von einem Teufel.” Sagte: „Es wirft ihn ins Feuer und grämt sich und so weiter.” Er sagte: „Ich brachte ihn zu Deinen Jüngern, doch sie konnten ihn nicht heilen. Aber ich - ich - ich dachte...
Er sagte: „Ich kann, wenn du glauben wirst. Nun, ich habe die Macht in Mir,” sagte Er, „es zu tun, wenn du das glauben könntest.”
Würde Gott diese von Krebs heimgesuchten Menschen, die heute Morgen hier sitzen, die geplagt worden sind, bettlägerig heimgesucht mit Krebs, und Leukämie, Krankheit, Beschwerden, würde Gott sie heilen und an euch vorübergehen? Kaum. Nein. Seht? Nun, Er kann nicht versagen. „Ich kann, wenn du glaubst.” Was sagte Er?

So viele der Reihe entlang beobachten sie, um ihre Reaktion zu sehen, wie sie waren, um zu sehen, wie sie auf eine Aktion reagieren. Seht? Es gibt so etwas wie eine Aktion, sie erhoben sich und kamen nach vorn. Eine andere Sache ist, wie sie auf jene Aktion reagieren, die sie taten. Nachdem sie an den Punkt kamen zu glauben, dass, wenn für sie gebetet wird, sie geheilt wären, beobachtet dann die Reaktion ihrer Aktion.
E-20 Nun, ich bin sicher, dass unser Pastor heute Morgen für uns eine Botschaft hat. Zu einer Sache möchte ich eine Anmerkung machen. Bemerkte gerade ein katholisches Mädchen, das damit am Altar stand. Vor ein paar Tagen waren sie in meinem Haus, sie und ihr Mann. Und ich kannte ihren Mann seit einiger Zeit. Und - und da war etwas Besonders, während wir bei einem privaten Interview saßen. Das ist, wo wir eine Vision hatten. Da pflegte ich es zu haben, hier in der Gemeinde, doch nahm jenes einfach am Morgen und so weiter.
Und deshalb war es da drinnen. Ich sagte niemals etwas, wegen ihr als Mädchen, noch eine Sache, stets in einer katholischen Kirche erzogen und so weiter. Aber sie ging, um für ihre Mutter zu sprechen. Und während dieser Zeit sah ich eine Vision von ihrer Mutter. Sagte ihr, was das Problem ihrer Mutter war und beschrieb sie und wie ihre Mutter aussah. Natürlich beurteilte sie, ob es richtig war oder nicht. Ich sah ihre Mutter niemals in meinem Leben. Sie weiß das.
Und heute Morgen kam das Mädchen zum Altar hier und stand, um ein Bekenntnis zu machen und Christus als ihren Erretter anzunehmen. Sie tat das heute Morgen am Altar.
Bruder Neville, nicht wissend, salbte sie mit Öl. Wie... wie Gott wirkt! Salbte sie mit Öl für die Kranken. Doch beobachtet die Bewegung des Heiligen Geistes. Nun, als gesalbt, wirklich nicht krank, aber gesalbt. Seht, wie alles gerade richtig vor sich geht? Sie stand nun als Christ, nachdem sie, was wir glauben, ein Christ wurde. Nun, sie sagte: „Würdest du für meine Mutter beten? Sie ist krank.” Das ist dieselbe. So, das Salböl war vorher angebracht. Ich dachte, wie passend, dass, seht, jemand, der gerade errettet ist. Christus stand für uns alle. Er steht für alle.
Und sobald dieses Mädchen ein Christ wird, dann möchte sie auch für jemanden stehen, zeigt, dass der Geist Christi in uns kommt, wenn wir wirklich errettet sind. Nun, das ist wirklich schön. Ich - ich schätze das gewiß, diesen schönen christlichen Geist des Glaubens. Nun, denkt einfach daran.
E-21 Nun, für diese junge Dame, sie ist irgendwo hier und für noch eine katholische Dame, die vorbeikam. Und ich möchte in diesem diese Worte sagen, gerade bevor ich den Gottesdienst unserem Pastor übergebe, seht. [Bruder Neville sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.]
Nun, einstmals war die katholische Kirche wie diese Gemeinde. Wenn ihr zurückgehen werdet und die Bibel lest, die wir glauben und ihr wißt, dass die katholische Kirche die erste Gemeinde war. Das ist wahr. Doch sie entfernte sich von Ihren Lehren. Dies war die Lehre der katholischen Kirche. Doch seht ihr, sie haben sechshundert und noch was andere Bücher, die Päpste und so weiter geschrieben hatten, die für sie genauso heilig wie die Bibel sind.
So, seht, was dies ist, ihr habt euch nicht verändert. Was ihr getan habt, ihr habt euch einfach bekehrt. Seht? Nun, wenn ihr nehmt...
E-22 Natürlich, ich vermute, vielleicht einige von euch, diese zwei heute Morgen sind Frauen. Es mögen einige katholische Männer hier sitzen. Wenn ihr zur Kirchengeschichte zurückgeht, wenn ihr eure Priester fragtet: “Die Handlung dieser Apostel in der Bibel hier, war das die Weise, die... Waren das die ersten Katholiken?” Er wird sagen: „Ja.” Und das ist wahr.
Sie waren es. Nun, sie, schaut welche Art Religion sie hatten. Sie trafen sich in kleinen einfachen Plätzen. Sie sagten nie: „Gegrüßte seist du Maria's” oder „Vater unser's.” Das ist eine Tradition der Kirche. Was sagten sie? Sie priesen Gott. Sie schrien. Sie weinten.
E-23 Schaut hier in Apostelgeschichte 2, als der heilige Apostel Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes und alle zusammen waren. Die Bibel sagte, sie sprachen in Zungen. Und sie schrien und benahmen sich sogar so, so mit dem Geist gefüllt, bis sie sich benahmen, als wären sie betrunken und dass sogar die Außenwelt fragte: „Sind dies nicht alle Betrunkene?”
Und Petrus dann, der Apostel, der heilige Petrus, als er aufstand und sagte: „Männer und Brüder, diese Männer sind nicht trunken, sondern sie sind mit dem Geist gefüllt. Und die - und die Bibel sagte, sie waren es. Nun, das war die erste katholische Kirche, gemäß ihren Lehren.
Nun, ihr seht, nach ungefähr zweihundert Jahren, fingen die Würdevollen an, in die Gemeinde zu gelangen. Was taten sie dann? Sie machten die erste Organisation beim Konzil von Nizäa, 606 nach Christus. Sie machten ihre...
Als das Nizäische Konzil in Nizäa, Rom, abgehalten wurde, fingen sie an, die ganzen großen Würdevollen hereinzubekommen und sie gründeten einfach eine Kirche und machten eine Kirche.
Danach zerbrach sie vier- oder fünfmal. Sie gingen hinein, gingen davon weg, zum Bischof; vom Bischof zu einem Papst. Und davon kommen die Griechisch-Orthodoxen und verschiedene, bis sie es einfach trennten. Und was seht ihr heute? Sie ist einfach in alle Arten von Trennungen.
E-24 Doch was wir versuchen zu tun, mein katholischer Freund, sieh mal, wir sind auch katholisch. Wir sind die ersten anfänglichen Katholiken. Und die Gemeinde, die sie uns jetzt nennen, meistens sieht man uns als Pfingstler, weil wir an die pfingstliche Segnung glauben. Das ist es, wo die katholische Kirche organisiert wurde.
Und in unseren Pfingstorganisationen heute, wenn - wenn die Welt fünfhundert Jahre länger bestehen würde, wäre diese Pfingstorganisation formaler als die katholische Kirche heute ist. Sie gelangt einfach irgendwie weiter hinweg. Und wenn sie organisieren, machen sie eine Loge daraus. Und dann werden sie einfach Logen von Mitgliedern mit unbekehrten Seelen.
Für meine kostbaren, lieben Brüder und Schwestern, für euch alle. Als Diener Gottes, ich sagte das nie zuvor in der Welt in dieser Gemeinde, ich sagte es nie. Doch als Prophet des Herrn sage ich euch: „Dies ist das Licht. Wandelt Darin.” [Versammlung jubelt und sagt: „Amen.” - Verf.] `
E-1 When you've got to use faith in God to make it work. See? So you got your own resurrection inside of you.
Your resurrection lays inside of you, in your spirit. Now you know, when Jesus died on the cross, His soul descended into hell and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in long suffering in the days of Noah. His body went into the grave. But before He died, He committed His Spirit into the hands of God: "Into the hands... Into Thy hands commend My Spirit." So you see, His Spirit went to God; His Soul went to hell; His body went to the grave. Now, that Spirit that was in Him was the Spirit of God. And that Spirit in sundry times and divers manners anointed the prophets to bring the message to the people. In the last days through Christ, and now in these days here through the Gospel...
E-2 Now, when we receive Christ into our hearts, there's all that we have need of. There's Eternal Life. Now, Christ could not come back until three days was fulfilled, because His Spirit was behind a screen, like a bar, like this, that He could not cross over that bar, because it was a spoken Word of God that He was to lay in the grave for three days and three nights.
Now, He could not come back until that three days and nights was up. Then when three days and nights was up, His Spirit was loosed; It went directly to His Soul, and His Soul came back, and picked up the body, and fulfilled what He said: "I have power to lay my Life down; I have power to take it up again. I have power."
E-3 Now, each one of you have power the same way, because you are sons and daughters of God. And the very Spirit that's in you this morning, the Holy Spirit that's in you this morning, that same Holy Spirit will raise you up. So you have power to raise yourself back up.
When you die, your soul will go into to--the--under the altar of God, not in... right in the presence of God. Now, your spirit will go to God, but you cannot come back. You remember in the Bible it said the spirit--the souls under the altar crying, "Lord, how long, how long?" They could not return until the Scripture's fulfilled. And like Christ could not return till the Scripture's fulfilled.
Then after the--all has been done, all the suffering's over, and the brethren has suffered the same things, where we've suffered like they suffered and so forth... Then on that day you'll know exactly where you're buried. Your spirit will be turned loose from God and will come to the soul.
E-4 Now, the soul is that part of you who knows and understands, your intelligence. You remember the vision I had not long ago, or the little translation and went into that place and saw those people? Now, your spirit will come back to that body, and that--that kind of a body, the soul, which is a body that does not have to eat and so forth. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting," a celestial body. And with that spirit, and that soul, and celestial body, you'll raise up again this natural body for that great millennium. See?
You have the power in you now to do that. Now, but that power that you have in you now could make a new world. God doesn't have little weak spots and big heavy spots that's powerful. The least little touch of God is omnipotent. See? The least little touch of God... So you know...
So I'm trying to get you in the faith now.
E-5 You know that something has happened to you as a Christian. Do you know it? You used to ride down yonder in the muck with all of the muck, and sin, and drinking, and gambling, and--and things of the world. Well, as soon as you believe that Christ forgive your sins, you raised up above that stuff. See? Now you're riding up here (see?) above all of it. Why? Because that you believe that you are a Christian. Then when you accepted Christ and the Holy Spirit came to you, then you have faith in the Holy Spirit to give you power to ride above that kind of a life of sin.
Well now, the only thing you have to do to ride higher into healing is just have more faith, just keep pushing it out (See?), and there you are.
Now, if you're sick and you're not a Christian, become a Christian right now so that that healing power will come in you by becoming a Christian, and that will give you faith to ride above sin; it'll give you faith.
And everything that you have need of in this journey is right in you now. And the only thing you have to do is have faith in God that pushes that good things out of you, which is in you by the Holy Spirit. Do you understand clearly now?...?... You got the...?...
E-6 I believe Billy told me last night, called me and said, "Come in this morning, especially for one person, come thinking we're having services this week of those Seven Seals." And they brought a sick child; I believe.
And if you're here now, sir, remember, you cannot... Your--your faith will have to go for that child if it's--if it's a little infant child.
But now, let me take another Scripture, if it's all right just a minute... Just remember.
Now, in the gospel we read over in the 16th chapter, I believe, of the Acts, where that Paul and Silas was in prison one night. And they'd been beaten, because they cast a devil spirit out of a fortune-telling girl. And it was a... and she... Her masters had got angry about it and beaten them, put them in the inner prisons. And then when they did that, while Paul and Silas was praying, and God sent an earthquake and shook the jail down.
E-7 The Philippian jailer, being a centurion (which to lose his, his prisoners was to be... His own life would have to pay for the prisoner's.), he pulled his sword and was going to commit suicide, when Paul run forth and said, "Do yourself no harm; we're all here!"
And this centurion ha... They'd--some impression they'd had about Paul and them. They might have sung hymns; they might have testified or done something. But whatever it was, they knowed that they were holy men. They knowed there was something different about those men, because quickly he asked, "What must I do to be saved? What must I do to be saved?"
Now, Paul said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou and thy house shall be saved."
E-8 Well now, if believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, that don't mean that his salvation would save the house, but if he's got enough faith in God for his own salvation, he can have the same faith for his house; and his house will have to come in. See? It's the same thing.
Same as Job did, as I said the other night down in Georgia at a meeting. I said Job... He said, "Now, I don't know if my children have sinned. But what if they have sinned?"
And Job had one thing to do to be righteous, that was offer a burnt offering. He said he would offer the burnt offering if his children had sinned, then they would be forgiven of their sin. And it was a good thing that father done it. That's a good thinking father. We need more of those kind of fathers today.
And Job offered the burnt offering. That's before his tragedy set in. But when his children was all killed, and his sheep all destroyed, and all that he had, taken, he's setting on the ash heap in back of his house, scraping himself with a piece of crock...
E-9 Did you notice, after the days of his tragedy, when God begin to restore to him again, where he had ten thousand cattle or so forth, He restored double: and it's doubled his sheep, and doubled everything. But did you notice... And God also gave Job his seven children. Did you ever think where they were at? That burnt offering stood for them. They were saved in glory waiting for him to come. He's with them today.
"Thy and thy house shall be saved!" See?
Now, Job had one thing to do to be righteous, was to offer the burnt offering. You have one thing to do to be righteous; that's have faith in God. For by faith are you saved; by faith are you healed; by faith you get every thing that you have. See? It's by faith, that you believe it.
Now, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thy and thy house shall be saved!
E-10 Now, sir, if you got the baby here to be prayed for, you believe yourself. I'm here to put my faith with yours. And we'll believe together that God will heal that baby... You see, we got in us the power to do that. You've got in you the power to do it. Every Christian's got the power to do it.
But now, if we can just get... That power is controlled by a law, as I have often said. It's like gravitation controls water, because it's a law. Gravitation controls water.
The sun is controlled by the--by the earth, the turn of the earth. The--you can't just make the sun do one thing another, say, "I believe I want to sleep a little longer to... Hold off a hour!" It won't do it. See? Because there's a law. And if you'll work according to that law, well then, everything will be all right. If you'll go to bed in time, you can wake up in time. And if you a...
E-11 Like we got the... Lake Superior, Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, and all those Great Lakes is up here. We got tens of thousands times thousands of acres of ground out in Nevada, and California, and Arizona, and New Mexico, that's burning up for that water, of land that would raise anything. You could feed the whole world out there, if you only had this water up here down there. And it wouldn't bother that, because it's spring fed. Just as soon as it goes out, it just comes up to its level again, 'cause gravitation holds it there.
Well now, if you can work according to the law of gravitation, you can take all those Great Lakes, and water that whole country out there, and feed the whole world. Nobody'd be hungry. But you can't set here and say, "Yeah, I see it, sure!" You got to go do it.
E-12 Well that's the same way it is by the law of God. The law of God is faith. And we got faith here this morning to heal any sickness, to do anything. But it's controlled by a law, and that law is faith. God's law is faith. Jesus said, "Whatsoever things you desire when you pray, if you can believe you receive it, you can have it." There you are. So it's the faith that controls it. And faith is given to us just as we have need of. Now, we have to... God lots some of us some faith, some another faith. It isn't some great supernatural power that you have, because when you become a Christian, you--you already have the power, but you lack faith in the operating that power.
E-13 So now, this morning when you come to be prayed for, remember, the Bible has said this, and this is true: James 5:14: "If there be any among you sick, let them call the elders of the church, let them anoint them with oil, and pray over them. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and God shall raise him up." It's a promise if you'll believe it.
Therefore (you see?), healing is allotted to the individual. It was in the days of Jesus of Nazareth. He could not heal people against their--against their own faith. He said, "I can, if you believe. If you believe that I'm able to do this, I can do it. If you can believe it."
So, some people throw the--throws the power of healing into some other evangelist. It's not that; the power of healing's in you. It's in you. They just put the cart before the horse. The evangelist doesn't have power to heal. It's the Holy Spirit that has power to heal. And you have the Holy Spirit. That's the little tree that you are. And all the things that you have need of is in you. So therefore, you just start drinking from God's promise, saying, "It's the Truth! God said He'd heal me. By His stripes I am healed!" There you are. You know what you do? You start pushing out healing; that's all. See! And then others can see what you have.
E-14 Now what it's... Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen. Now, when I set that little tree out, I don't see the apples. But they're in there. That little tree knows they're in there. So, he just starts drinking, pushing and pushing, 'cause he knows, "It's in me. I'll get it out there after a while. Give me a little time." Just give me a little time. He just keeps drinking, "I know--I know the apples are in me, and I'll bring them up after a while." And first thing you know, here they come. Here come the apple, because he believed that they're in him. And if you believe that the power of the Holy Spirit is in you to heal you, there you are, just keep pushing. See?
You have faith. You can't see the results right away; you don't see it.
E-15 Now (See?) James justified Abraham by his works. Paul justified Abraham by his faith. What do we say then between the two? Abraham was speaking on what--I mean, Paul was speaking on what God saw in Abraham. And James was speaking on what people saw in Abraham. See? Now see? Therefore, God knowed that before the baby come, that Abraham had faith. And Abraham proved it to God by acting like he--that the baby was going to come when he was sterile. He had no children, and his wife's womb was dead, and he was sterile. But yet he knowed in there somewhere was the baby. You see, he kept drinking the promise, leaning on God's great El Shaddai, the breast, leaning there, drinking, knowing that God would give it to him; knowed that it was a promise, that He had to do it. And we're the children of Abraham. So let's lean onto His promise and hold there, knowing that God will do it. He said so.
You believe it now. Then let the sick line up over here on one of the sides or the other, that wants to be prayed for, and we'll get the Elder here and anoint them in oil. I'll pray over them, and we'll believe that God will make everyone of them well. If thou canst believe.

E-16 Our heavenly Father, we bring to You this morning, in the Name of Jesus Christ, these poor, sick, suffering humanity, that's in this terrible disastrous condition. I believe You, Lord. I--I know that Your Words are true. They are so true. They cannot fail, because they are God's eternal and everlasting Word. They are all powerful like God is, because they are a part of Him. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelled among us." Now, we believe that, Lord, with all our hearts, with all of our souls, with all that's inside of us. We believe it.
And I've tried in a simple childlike way to present it to the people, that they might understand and know that the power of God lays within them. If they can only have their faith and follow God's orders... That's how they were saved. They come and repented of their sins and was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, according to the Bible, of Acts 2, and then Peter said that ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, then it--here He come, just exactly, because It's God's Word made manifest.
Well now, the same thing, Father, we know is true when we anoint the sick with oil and pray over them. The prayer of faith shall save the sick; God shall raise him up. God, may each one leave this altar, around this place this morning, so happy and rejoicing in knowing that God will heal them: go and be made well. For we commit them to Thee now in the Name of Jesus Christ; may each one be healed and catch the vision, what it means: like Abraham called those things which are not as though they were.
No matter what the results is, that has nothing to do with faith. Results is nothing; faith's already took a hold. And faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. God, make it sink deep in their hearts, for they're needy people. I go as your humble servant to stand here, along with the other servants, and pray God put in our hearts for these sick people. We ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.

E-18 Let's see coming down across the mountain yonder. I see a Man coming Who wasn't any different from any other man. He was just an ordinary Man, kinda small in body, rather frail. As we see Him look, His eyes, down upon a--a scene taking place down in the valley. It was His apostles; they had a boy down there that had epilepsy. And no doubt but what they were saying, "Heal him, Lord; heal him." But you see, just saying, "Heal him, Lord, heal him." won't do it. That just won't do it. There's got to be something behind that "Heal him, Lord; heal him." And if I can get you to believe that, and believe that with all your heart, you're going to be healed. If I can get you to really see the vision.
Now, look at those disciples standing there, maybe shaking him, maybe pushing him...?... "Believe it, brother; believe it. Hallelujah. Believe it. Heal him, Lord; heal him." But the devil stayed right there, because he couldn't find enough faith there to make him leave.
But here comes One down across the hill, and as soon as that devil recognized that that was a little different from that other man... Now, that's the kind of men we want to be along here...?... Just not come for a show, but come in love of our God, to know that we've been commissioned to go do this. This is our commission.
E-19 Then we go up there to the father. I think this is where this song was written from, composed of the words. He said, "Lord, have mercy upon my son, 'cause he's variously vexed with a devil." Said, "It throws him in the fire and pines away..." and so forth. He said, "I brought him to Your disciples, but they couldn't heal him. But I--I thought..."
He said, "I can if you will believe." Not, "I have the power within Me." He said, "to do it, if you can believe that." Would God let these cancer ridden people that's setting here this morning, that's been ridden--bedridden with cancer, and leukemia, and sickness, and afflictions... Would God heal them and pass you by? He's not like that. No. See? Now, He doesn't fail. "I can if you'll believe." What did He say?

So many along the line, watching them, seeing their reaction of how they were... see how they react on a action. See, there's such a thing as an action. They raised and come forward. And another thing, is how they react on that action that they have made. After they have come to the place to believe that when they're prayed for they'll be healed, then watch the reaction of their action.
E-20 Now, our Pastor has got a good message for us, I'm sure, this morning. One thing I'd like to comment on just a moment. Was a Catholic girl standing there along the altar. A few days ago she was at my house, her and her husband. And I've knowed her husband for some time. And--and there was something about while we were setting on a private interview. That's where we have the visions. That's where we... I used to have it here in the church, but it just taken up the morning and so forth...
And so it was in this... I never said nothing, because she being a girl, and another thing, always reared in the Catholic Church and so forth... But she went to speak for her mother. And during that time, I saw a vision of her mother: told her what her mother's trouble was, and described her, and how her mother looked. Of course she was the judge of that, whether it was right or not. I never seen her mother in my life. She knows that.
And the girl this morning came to the altar here and stood to make a confession and accept Christ as her Saviour. She did that at the altar this morning.
And Brother Neville, not knowing, anointed her in oil, (how--how God works), anointed her in oil for the sick. But watch the moving of the Holy Spirit. Now, being as she was anointed (really not sick), but anointed, see how its just two or three words like, "She stood as a Christian, now." after she has become a--what we believe to be a Christian. Now she said, "Would you pray for my mother? She's sick." That was the same one. So the anointing oil was applied to her...?... told her that (See?) someone being just saved... Christ stood for all of us. He stands for all.
And as soon as this girl becomes a Christian, then she wants to stand for somebody too; showing that the Spirit of Christ comes within us when we are really saved. Now, that's really fine. I--I certainly appreciate that; that fine Christian spirit of believing. Now, just remember...
E-21 Now, to this young lady; she's here somewhere. And to another Catholic lady that came by, and... I'd like to say these words just before I turn the service to our pastor (See?), is this...
Now, the Catholic Church was one time like this church. If you'll go back and read the Bible, which we believe... And you know that the Catholic Church was the first church. That is true. But it got away from its teachings. This was the teaching of the Catholic Church. But you see, they got six hundred and something-another books that popes and so forth has written that's just as holy to them as this Bible.
So see what this is. You haven't changed; what you've done, you just been converted. See? Now if you take...
E-22 'Course, I guess maybe some of you...?... this morning is women. There might be some Catholic men setting in here. If you'll go back to the history of the churches... You might ask your priest: "The action of these apostles in the Bible here, wasn't that the way that--was that the early Catholics? They'll tell you, "Yes!" And that's true. They were.
Now, they... Look what kind of a religion they had. They met in little simple places. They never said, "Hail Marys" or, "Our Fathers." That's a tradition of the church. What did they say? They praised God; they screamed; they cried.
E-23 Looky here in Acts 2, when the a--holy apostle Peter, and James, and John, and all were together; the Bible said they spoke in tongues. And they screamed, and even act so--and so filled with the Spirit until they act like they were drunk. And even to the outside world asked, "Are not all these drunks?"
And then Peter, the apostle, the holy Saint Peter, when he stood up and he said, "Men and brethren, these men are not drunk, but they're filled with the Spirit as the--as the Bible said they was."
Now, that was the early Catholic Church, according to their teaching. Now you see, after about two hundred years, the dignified begin to get into the church. Then what did they do? They made their first organization at the Nicean Council, A.D. 606. They made their...
And when the Nicean Council was held at Nicaea, Rome, they begin to get all the great dignitaries in. And they just formed a church. They made a church.
After that, it broke four or five times. They went in--they went from that to the bishop, from the bishop to a pope. And from that there come the Greek Orthodox and different ones, till they just broke it up to where you see it today. It's just in all kinds of breakups.
E-24 But what we're trying to do, my Catholic friend. See, we are Catholic too. We are the early beginning Catholic. And the church that they call us now, mostly, we're referred to as Pentecostal, because we believe in the Pentecostal blessing. That's where the Catholic Church was organized.
And in our organizations of Pentecost today, If it--if this world would stand five hundred years longer, this Pentecostal organization would be more formal than the Roman Catholic Church is today. It's just getting farther away, same way. And when you organize, you make a lodge out of it. And then you just become lodge, and members, and unconverted soul.
To my precious dear brothers and sisters (See?), all of you, as a servant of God... I never said this before in the wor--in--in this church...?... But as a prophet of the Lord, I say to you, "This is the Light; walk ye in It."
Your resurrection lays inside of you, in your spirit. Now you know, when Jesus died on the cross, His soul descended into hell and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in long suffering in the days of Noah. His body went into the grave. But before He died, He committed His Spirit into the hands of God: "Into the hands... Into Thy hands commend My Spirit." So you see, His Spirit went to God; His Soul went to hell; His body went to the grave. Now, that Spirit that was in Him was the Spirit of God. And that Spirit in sundry times and divers manners anointed the prophets to bring the message to the people. In the last days through Christ, and now in these days here through the Gospel...
E-2 Now, when we receive Christ into our hearts, there's all that we have need of. There's Eternal Life. Now, Christ could not come back until three days was fulfilled, because His Spirit was behind a screen, like a bar, like this, that He could not cross over that bar, because it was a spoken Word of God that He was to lay in the grave for three days and three nights.
Now, He could not come back until that three days and nights was up. Then when three days and nights was up, His Spirit was loosed; It went directly to His Soul, and His Soul came back, and picked up the body, and fulfilled what He said: "I have power to lay my Life down; I have power to take it up again. I have power."
E-3 Now, each one of you have power the same way, because you are sons and daughters of God. And the very Spirit that's in you this morning, the Holy Spirit that's in you this morning, that same Holy Spirit will raise you up. So you have power to raise yourself back up.
When you die, your soul will go into to--the--under the altar of God, not in... right in the presence of God. Now, your spirit will go to God, but you cannot come back. You remember in the Bible it said the spirit--the souls under the altar crying, "Lord, how long, how long?" They could not return until the Scripture's fulfilled. And like Christ could not return till the Scripture's fulfilled.
Then after the--all has been done, all the suffering's over, and the brethren has suffered the same things, where we've suffered like they suffered and so forth... Then on that day you'll know exactly where you're buried. Your spirit will be turned loose from God and will come to the soul.
E-4 Now, the soul is that part of you who knows and understands, your intelligence. You remember the vision I had not long ago, or the little translation and went into that place and saw those people? Now, your spirit will come back to that body, and that--that kind of a body, the soul, which is a body that does not have to eat and so forth. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting," a celestial body. And with that spirit, and that soul, and celestial body, you'll raise up again this natural body for that great millennium. See?
You have the power in you now to do that. Now, but that power that you have in you now could make a new world. God doesn't have little weak spots and big heavy spots that's powerful. The least little touch of God is omnipotent. See? The least little touch of God... So you know...
So I'm trying to get you in the faith now.
E-5 You know that something has happened to you as a Christian. Do you know it? You used to ride down yonder in the muck with all of the muck, and sin, and drinking, and gambling, and--and things of the world. Well, as soon as you believe that Christ forgive your sins, you raised up above that stuff. See? Now you're riding up here (see?) above all of it. Why? Because that you believe that you are a Christian. Then when you accepted Christ and the Holy Spirit came to you, then you have faith in the Holy Spirit to give you power to ride above that kind of a life of sin.
Well now, the only thing you have to do to ride higher into healing is just have more faith, just keep pushing it out (See?), and there you are.
Now, if you're sick and you're not a Christian, become a Christian right now so that that healing power will come in you by becoming a Christian, and that will give you faith to ride above sin; it'll give you faith.
And everything that you have need of in this journey is right in you now. And the only thing you have to do is have faith in God that pushes that good things out of you, which is in you by the Holy Spirit. Do you understand clearly now?...?... You got the...?...
E-6 I believe Billy told me last night, called me and said, "Come in this morning, especially for one person, come thinking we're having services this week of those Seven Seals." And they brought a sick child; I believe.
And if you're here now, sir, remember, you cannot... Your--your faith will have to go for that child if it's--if it's a little infant child.
But now, let me take another Scripture, if it's all right just a minute... Just remember.
Now, in the gospel we read over in the 16th chapter, I believe, of the Acts, where that Paul and Silas was in prison one night. And they'd been beaten, because they cast a devil spirit out of a fortune-telling girl. And it was a... and she... Her masters had got angry about it and beaten them, put them in the inner prisons. And then when they did that, while Paul and Silas was praying, and God sent an earthquake and shook the jail down.
E-7 The Philippian jailer, being a centurion (which to lose his, his prisoners was to be... His own life would have to pay for the prisoner's.), he pulled his sword and was going to commit suicide, when Paul run forth and said, "Do yourself no harm; we're all here!"
And this centurion ha... They'd--some impression they'd had about Paul and them. They might have sung hymns; they might have testified or done something. But whatever it was, they knowed that they were holy men. They knowed there was something different about those men, because quickly he asked, "What must I do to be saved? What must I do to be saved?"
Now, Paul said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou and thy house shall be saved."
E-8 Well now, if believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, that don't mean that his salvation would save the house, but if he's got enough faith in God for his own salvation, he can have the same faith for his house; and his house will have to come in. See? It's the same thing.
Same as Job did, as I said the other night down in Georgia at a meeting. I said Job... He said, "Now, I don't know if my children have sinned. But what if they have sinned?"
And Job had one thing to do to be righteous, that was offer a burnt offering. He said he would offer the burnt offering if his children had sinned, then they would be forgiven of their sin. And it was a good thing that father done it. That's a good thinking father. We need more of those kind of fathers today.
And Job offered the burnt offering. That's before his tragedy set in. But when his children was all killed, and his sheep all destroyed, and all that he had, taken, he's setting on the ash heap in back of his house, scraping himself with a piece of crock...
E-9 Did you notice, after the days of his tragedy, when God begin to restore to him again, where he had ten thousand cattle or so forth, He restored double: and it's doubled his sheep, and doubled everything. But did you notice... And God also gave Job his seven children. Did you ever think where they were at? That burnt offering stood for them. They were saved in glory waiting for him to come. He's with them today.
"Thy and thy house shall be saved!" See?
Now, Job had one thing to do to be righteous, was to offer the burnt offering. You have one thing to do to be righteous; that's have faith in God. For by faith are you saved; by faith are you healed; by faith you get every thing that you have. See? It's by faith, that you believe it.
Now, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thy and thy house shall be saved!
E-10 Now, sir, if you got the baby here to be prayed for, you believe yourself. I'm here to put my faith with yours. And we'll believe together that God will heal that baby... You see, we got in us the power to do that. You've got in you the power to do it. Every Christian's got the power to do it.
But now, if we can just get... That power is controlled by a law, as I have often said. It's like gravitation controls water, because it's a law. Gravitation controls water.
The sun is controlled by the--by the earth, the turn of the earth. The--you can't just make the sun do one thing another, say, "I believe I want to sleep a little longer to... Hold off a hour!" It won't do it. See? Because there's a law. And if you'll work according to that law, well then, everything will be all right. If you'll go to bed in time, you can wake up in time. And if you a...
E-11 Like we got the... Lake Superior, Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, and all those Great Lakes is up here. We got tens of thousands times thousands of acres of ground out in Nevada, and California, and Arizona, and New Mexico, that's burning up for that water, of land that would raise anything. You could feed the whole world out there, if you only had this water up here down there. And it wouldn't bother that, because it's spring fed. Just as soon as it goes out, it just comes up to its level again, 'cause gravitation holds it there.
Well now, if you can work according to the law of gravitation, you can take all those Great Lakes, and water that whole country out there, and feed the whole world. Nobody'd be hungry. But you can't set here and say, "Yeah, I see it, sure!" You got to go do it.
E-12 Well that's the same way it is by the law of God. The law of God is faith. And we got faith here this morning to heal any sickness, to do anything. But it's controlled by a law, and that law is faith. God's law is faith. Jesus said, "Whatsoever things you desire when you pray, if you can believe you receive it, you can have it." There you are. So it's the faith that controls it. And faith is given to us just as we have need of. Now, we have to... God lots some of us some faith, some another faith. It isn't some great supernatural power that you have, because when you become a Christian, you--you already have the power, but you lack faith in the operating that power.
E-13 So now, this morning when you come to be prayed for, remember, the Bible has said this, and this is true: James 5:14: "If there be any among you sick, let them call the elders of the church, let them anoint them with oil, and pray over them. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and God shall raise him up." It's a promise if you'll believe it.
Therefore (you see?), healing is allotted to the individual. It was in the days of Jesus of Nazareth. He could not heal people against their--against their own faith. He said, "I can, if you believe. If you believe that I'm able to do this, I can do it. If you can believe it."
So, some people throw the--throws the power of healing into some other evangelist. It's not that; the power of healing's in you. It's in you. They just put the cart before the horse. Would God let these cancer ridden people that's setting here this morning, that's been ridden--bedridden with cancer, and leukemia, and sickness, and afflictions... Would God heal them and pass you by? He's not like that. No. See? Now, He doesn't fail. "I can if you'll believe." What did He say?

So many along the line, watching them, seeing their reaction of how they were... see how they react on a action. See, there's such a thing as an action. They raised and come forward. And another thing, is how they react on that action that they have made. After they have come to the place to believe that when they're prayed for they'll be healed, then watch the reaction of their action.
E-20 Now, our Pastor has got a good message for us, I'm sure, this morning. One thing I'd like to comment on just a moment. Was a Catholic girl standing there along the altar. A few days ago she was at my house, her and her husband. And I've knowed her husband for some time. And--and there was something about while we were setting on a private interview. That's where we have the visions. That's where we... I used to have it here in the church, but it just taken up the morning and so forth...
And so it was in this... I never said nothing, because she being a girl, and another thing, always reared in the Catholic Church and so forth... But she went to speak for her mother. And during that time, I saw a vision of her mother: told her what her mother's trouble was, and described her, and how her mother looked. Of course she was the judge of that, whether it was right or not. I never seen her mother in my life. She knows that.
And the girl this morning came to the altar here and stood to make a confession and accept Christ as her Saviour. She did that at the altar this morning.
And Brother Neville, not knowing, anointed her in oil, (how--how God works), anointed her in oil for the sick. But watch the moving of the Holy Spirit. Now, being as she was anointed (really not sick), but anointed, see how its just two or three words like, "She stood as a Christian, now." after she has become a--what we believe to be a Christian. Now she said, "Would you pray for my mother? She's sick." That was the same one. So the anointing oil was applied to her...?... told her that (See?) someone being just saved... Christ stood for all of us. He stands for all.
And as soon as this girl becomes a Christian, then she wants to stand for somebody too; showing that the Spirit of Christ comes within us when we are really saved. Now, that's really fine. I--I certainly appreciate that; that fine Christian spirit of believing. Now, just remember...
E-21 Now, to this young lady; she's here somewhere. And to another Catholic lady that came by, and... I'd like to say these words just before I turn the service to our pastor (See?), is this...
Now, the Catholic Church was one time like this church. If you'll go back and read the Bible, which we believe... And you know that the Catholic Church was the first church. That is true. But it got away from its teachings. This was the teaching of the Catholic Church. But you see, they got six hundred and something-another books that popes and so forth has written that's just as holy to them as this Bible.
So see what this is. You haven't changed; what you've done, you just been converted. See? Now if you take...
E-22 'Course, I guess maybe some of you...?... this morning is women. There might be some Catholic men setting in here. If you'll go back to the history of the churches... You might ask your priest: "The action of these apostles in the Bible here, wasn't that the way that--was that the early Catholics? They'll tell you, "Yes!" And that's true. They were.
Now, they... Look what kind of a religion they had. They met in little simple places. They never said, "Hail Marys" or, "Our Fathers." That's a tradition of the church. What did they say? They praised God; they screamed; they cried.
E-23 Looky here in Acts 2, when the a--holy apostle Peter, and James, and John, and all were together; the Bible said they spoke in tongues. And they screamed, and even act so--and so filled with the Spirit until they act like they were drunk. And even to the outside world asked, "Are not all these drunks?"
And then Peter, the apostle, the holy Saint Peter, when he stood up and he said, "Men and brethren, these men are not drunk, but they're filled with the Spirit as the--as the Bible said they was."
Now, that was the early Catholic Church, according to their teaching. Now you see, after about two hundred years, the dignified begin to get into the church. Then what did they do? They made their first organization at the Nicean Council, A.D. 606. They made their...
And when the Nicean Council was held at Nicaea, Rome, they begin to get all the great dignitaries in. And they just formed a church. They made a church.
After that, it broke four or five times. They went in--they went from that to the bishop, from the bishop to a pope. And from that there come the Greek Orthodox and different ones, till they just broke it up to where you see it today. It's just in all kinds of breakups.
E-24 But what we're trying to do, my Catholic friend. See, we are Catholic too. We are the early beginning Catholic. And the church that they call us now, mostly, we're referred to as Pentecostal, because we believe in the Pentecostal blessing. That's where the Catholic Church was organized.
And in our organizations of Pentecost today, If it--if this world would stand five hundred years longer, this Pentecostal organization would be more formal than the Roman Catholic Church is today. It's just getting farther away, same way. And when you organize, you make a lodge out of it. And then you just become lodge, and members, and unconverted soul.
To my precious dear brothers and sisters (See?), all of you, as a servant of God... I never said this before in the wor--in--in this church...?... But as a prophet of the Lord, I say to you, "This is the Light; walk ye in It."
